Email Basic Settings

  1. Select the "Manual setup" option.
  2. Fill in the required information:
    • Protocol - Select POP most of the time unless you understand IMAP as it may result in additional disk usage.
    • Email address - Your full email address.
    • Username - This will be the same as your email address.
    • Password - The password for your email address.
    • POP/IMAP Server - This will be mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is the domain of your email account.
    • Security Type- Most servers only support "None" here. SSL is available if you have a SSL cert on your account only.
    • Server Port - Leave this as default. Port 110 for POP, 143 for IMAP
  3. After your incoming information is validated, enter your outgoing server settings.
    • Login Required - Yes
    • Username - Normally as same as inbound or enter full email address
    • Password - Same as inbound
    • POP/IMAP Server - This will be mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is the domain of your email account.
    • Security Type- Most servers only support "None" here.
    • Authentication - Yes
    • Server Port - Port 26
